Meet Your RVA Learning Center Teacher

Laura Mukerji

Hello, I am Laura Mukerji, your RVA Learning Center Teacher! It is my pleasure to get to know you this year and to offer enrichment activities as well as a wide variety of STEAM-based learning opportunities

I have been a teacher for 15 years, with the last 7 of those being in the RVA. Previously, I taught as an 8th-grade English teacher and was also an RVA Home Mentor for 8 years. I graduated with honors in 2008 from Emporia State University with a degree in Secondary English Education. I currently live in Mosinee, Wisconsin with my husband, three daughters, two dogs, one cat, and a fish.

My educational philosophy is simple: every child has individual and unique learning styles. Because of this, I utilize many different teaching methods in my classroom, maintain high academic standards, and create a fun, safe, and inviting classroom to encourage student involvement.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, biking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family.

I truly love being an educator and am looking forward to meeting many more amazing RVA students and families at the Learning Center this year. Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any questions about the learning center or check out the calendar for upcoming activities.
